Yes. The treponemal test that we offer for syphilis does not distinguish between current and past, resolved syphilis infections. It is possible to be reinfected with T. pallidum even after successful treatment of a past infection. Consult with your healthcare provider if you think that you may have been exposed to syphilis again.
